Mia takes its name from the Vietnamese word meaning sugar cane, a fitting choice given the emphasis placed on keeping the resort ‘green’ in every sense, both in appearance and with the application of environmental principles.

Set on the slope of a coastal mountain range, the resort is nestled on the shores of a quiet sandy bay surrounded by lush tropical gardens and the sparkling waters of the East Sea. Mia is unequaled in its beauty, serenity, privacy and hospitality.

Given its wonderful sitting atop a cliff, built into a hillside and also nestled in a private, secluded bay, there are memorable views from almost all of the resort. One can see all the way to Cam Ranh International Airport to the far south, across the bay to the islands in the east, plus nearby rocky headlands and beaches. They are vistas that will remain with you long after you return home!

The resort is surrounded by natural wonders. To the west rugged, almost impenetrable jungle clad slopes support a wide variety of flora and fauna and our own coral reef in the bay near La Baia Restaurant is a great place to snorkel and observe the creatures calling it home. In the afternoons, the Salanganes Bird, or Swiftlet can be observed from Mojito’s or the Cliff Villas. These birds are locally very important, their nests being the source of the iconic Birds Nest Soup so famous across Asia.

Our rooms and villas are thoughtfully designed using natural materials, giving a feeling of connection with the environment that surrounds you. The resort has been designed using eco-friendly principles as a primary driving force. All villa rooftops are covered with lush, manicured grass, a much preferable form of insulation which also makes Mia more carbon neutral.
