Cassia Cottage is a unique resort on Phu Quoc Island. Once a seaside retreat for a pepper trader, Cassia Cottage has become one of Phu Quoc’s top resorts. Cassia Cottage was built in search of pepper in the jungles of southern Vietnam, and cassia and pepper in the mountains of the northern part of the country, where many ethnic minorities call home. Setting foot on the wild land of Phu Quoc in 1998, our trader and founder discovered something more captivating than anything else - an idyllic teardrop-shaped pearl island surrounded by beaches and lush greenery, with a simple community of farmers and fishermen. Our founder began growing his famous pepper on the island. And with the pepper, his family grew. They built their home next to a natural well and a gentle stream flowing beside the bud. Gradually, the world discovered this paradise surrounded by the sea. When the first intrepid travelers came here in search of a place to stay with the typical Phu Quoc style, with Lonely PLanet guidebooks and magical word-of-mouth recommendations in hand, they were welcomed into their bud on the beach of Ba Keo by the extended family. In 2003, we officially opened Cassia Cottage. Since then, this project, born in a paradise and nurtured by an endless passion for the generous island we call home, has grown and welcomed many new guests. The ancient history of Cassia Cottage reads like a storybook. Over the years, the family has added new members, the bud has been renovated every year and new areas. Yet the stream still flows through here, and since Cassia Cottage opened, the feng shui here has been amplified by thousands of lovely guests who have drunk the cool water and bathed in the island's authentic energy.
