Modern Resort
Modern Bodrum is a resort for those who enjoy an active vacation lifestyle. It is home to one of the largest clubs in Europe, "HALIKARNAS". Bodrum is also a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. A few kilometers from the city lies the village of Turgutreis, ideal for those who want to combine a quiet beach holiday with opportunities for active nightlife.
It turns out that the word "Bodrum" means "basement". This is probably because, according to geographical maps, the city is located in a natural depression.
The city is divided into two parts, separated by St. Peter’s Castle. The eastern part has comfortable beaches belonging to hotels, small markets, and restaurants; the western part hosts modern clubs, yachts, and water attractions. Frequent winds create ideal conditions for surfing, and the diversity of the underwater world attracts diving enthusiasts.
Hotels in the resort are arranged hierarchically on different levels. Particularly luxurious hotels even have special lifts to take tourists comfortably down to the beaches. Bodrum’s beaches are partly pebbly, but mostly consist of concrete platforms covered with sand.
All-Inclusive Concept
Purchasing last-minute trips to Bodrum for an "All-Inclusive" vacation is especially popular. During promotional periods, affordable prices allow tourists to save part of their travel budget for other resort pleasures – excursions, entertainment, and gastronomic tours to the numerous restaurants and bars.
The budget should also separately account for expenses on local delicacies, souvenirs, and practical items made by local artisans and manufacturers. local shops and businesses offer a wide selection of products, although prices are relatively high.
